The $9 Monthly Facebook Subscription

WhatsApp used to charge $1 per year; many could not renew around the world. Facebook Corp bought the firm and removed that $1 requirement. WhatsApp has continued to grow. Now, it is possible Facebook could ask us to pay $9 per month for absolute privacy [no data collected because no adverts will be run] partly to deal with its data violation. Yet, this model has never worked in any consumer web business, at scale. People think the web is FREE and asking them to pay for non-business related services is a waste of time.

People, this is not really a Facebook headache - anything defined for this company will affect all of us. So, it makes sense to pay attention.  I have laid out how this could play out.
