Bwala Africa Joins The Logistics Arena
Logistics startup Bwala Africa has closed an undisclosed funding round. The Nairobi-based startup will invest the money in product development and is also looking to take on the freight logistics market which includes Lori Systems and Kobo360. Bwala describes itself as a crowdsourced logistics marketplace that connects fleet operators with manufacturers, vendors and e-commerce companies. It has begun raising its series A round. (TC Daily)
Bwala Africa, the Nairobi-based last-mile logistics startup has announced it has raised undisclosed funding expected to help bolster its tech platform for its growing customers.
“The investment will definitely have an impact on our commercial growth and this automatically also doubles our market valuation, so it comes at the right time and we are very privileged to work with our partners,” said Kennedy Nyabwala, Bwala Africa’s founder and CEO.
With a new platform on the way, Bwala Africa is also revamping its mobile apps ready to take on players like Sendy, Kobo360, Lori, Senga among others.
