Ghana's Begins 100% Satellite Broadband

Data connectivity

The trajectory is happening - massive connectivity. Ghana's AfricaOnline goes satellite broadband and covers 100% of Ghana. Depending on its price, this will be huge. And that prediction of 2022 continues to look real.

AfricaOnline, one of Ghana's oldest ISPs and a Gondwana International Networks (GIN) subsidiary, has announced the launch of its new JOLA service, a high-speed broadband satellite service powered by Avanti’s HYLAS4 satellite that offers 100% coverage of Ghana through multiple spot beams.

The JOLA service has 100% coverage of Ghana so even the remotest location can be connected. Whilst perfect for remote areas, Plender also highlighted the use case for high-speed satellite as a business continuity service in urban areas too.
