Nokia is on the move. They seem to be moving faster these days. If they continue like this, they can turn the clock and keep their first spotin the shipment of mobile phones. On July 29, 2011, they released their long awaited SDK kit for Java.
The Series 40 platform SDKs enable you to quickly and efficiently create and test Java™ applications, as well as browser content, multimedia messaging service (MMS) content, and, where supported, Adobe Flash Lite content and applications. To facilitate this, each SDK includes an emulator, Java APIs, documentation, code examples, and debugging tools. These tools are then combined with your favourite IDE to create, compile, and package applications and content. Testing can then be conducted on a PC using the emulator.
Description
This SDK supports Java development for Series 40 6th Edition, Feature Pack 1 phones. It also forms the basis for development support of future Series 40 platform versions, thereby eliminating the need for multiple Series 40 SDKs.
