Sheinelle Jones and Uche Ojeh shared a love story that spanned decades, beginning when they met at Northwestern University in the late 1990s. After eight years of dating, Ojeh proposed at their alma mater, and they married in 2007 in Jones' hometown of Philadelphia. Over the years, they built a beautiful family, welcoming their first son, Kayin, in 2009, followed by twins Clara and Uche in 2012. Ojeh, a devoted father, instilled his Nigerian heritage in their children and was deeply involved in their lives, attending soccer games, concerts, and recitals.
Tragically, Ojeh was diagnosed with glioblastoma last year and passed away at the age of 45. His death was announced on the Today show, where his colleagues paid tribute to his unwavering love for his family and his quiet strength. Jones, who had been absent from Today since January, expressed gratitude for the support she received during this difficult time, sharing a simple message: "Thank you, for all of your love and support".
