Carla Jeffery Passes Away at 33, Disney Channel Star Remembered for Her Career.
The Disney Channel family is grieving. On September 2, Carla Jeffery's management team, lead by Carla Alexander, reported that the star of the original Zombies movie trilogy, who also starred in Good Luck Charlie and Shake It Up, had passed away at the age of 33.
"It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffrey," in the statement Alexander penned, "who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old."
"For more than 20 years," the post added, "we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.”

Her path to death wasn't disclosed.
At the age of twelve, the iCarly actress had her acting debut alongside Mo'Nique in Phat Girlz, where Jeffrey portrayed the younger version of the star's role.
"As Bree in Disney's hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world," Alexander added. "Our hearts are with Carla's family and loved ones during this devastating time."
The letter continued by asking for privacy for Jeffrey's friends and family while they "grieve this unimaginable loss," adding in the caption that she will be remembered by "her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went."
In fact, the child star's talent was evident in her numerous TV roles over the previous 20 years, including appearances on prominent shows like Southland, Suburgatory, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, in addition to her position as a cheerleader on the Disney monster hit. The late performer also made a memorable appearance as Keysha Black, the daughter of Vivica A. Fox's character Loretta Black, in ten episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Jeffrey had a successful career as a voice actress in addition to her role in cinema. She resurrected her character Bree for Zombies: The Re-Animated Series and provided the voice of Mania in Spider-Man (2020).
The Houston native's Hollywood colleagues, especially her Zombies co-star Chandler Kinney, have expressed their condolences in light of the tragic news.
"This doesn’t feel real," Kinney wrote a tribute on Instagram that included pictures of their intimate bond on set. "The sweetest, most sparkly gal. You made every day better and brighter with your infectious positivity."
"I feel so grateful to have known your love. I’m going to miss laughing with you and watching you break out your signature splits on any & every dance floor," the 26-year-old went on to say. "You’re a legend in my eyes, and your legacy of bringing joy and comfort to people everywhere will live on forever. I love you so much, CarlaBoo."
