After leaving Hollywood, Catherine Zeta-Jones had no regrets. The Gallerist star discussed how being on the East Coast has affected her acting career and provided a unique look into her life in New York with husband Michael Douglas.

“It's funny. I’ve lived on the East Coast for many, many years with Michael, and it's interesting whether it's been detrimental to my career,” the 56-year-old said in a February 2 interview with People. “I never quite know because I've never been in L.A. schmoozing.”

After selling their Westchester County home in June 2024, the couple—who have been married for nearly 26 years and have a daughter, Carys, 22, and a son, Dylan, 25—now reside "40 minutes outside of the city."

Catherine and Michael, 81, manage to stay up to date with their social circles despite not being based in the Big Apple, yet their inner selves are different from what others may see.

“In fact, I spend more time with New York businesspeople, Wall Street people, art people,” she clarified. “Our friends and our people we bump into are different than I would be if I was in L.A. And that's not detrimental to L.A. and people who live there at all; it's just I swing in a few different roundabouts here in the city.”

Bermuda, the actress' home country of Wales in the United Kingdom, California, and the Spanish island of Majorca are just a few of the properties that Catherine and Michael have owned worldwide.

The Wednesday actress really informed The Wall Street Journal that they intended to "spend more time in Bermuda and Europe" after selling their riverfront property in the Westchester town of Irvington in 2024.

"When I purchased our Irvington home, I knew our family would share many happy times here, and we have," at that point, she disclosed, stating, "Now that both our son and daughter have left the nest it seems like the right time to sell.”

There are more celebrities who have chosen to leave Hollywood besides the two.
