Samsung returns to #1  as the world’s largest smartphone vendor. It needs to send zobo to Trump for the heat on Huawei which is under severe strains due to US sanctions.  The position of Apple on the vendor chart does not really matter as Apple has moved into the services era. The implication is that the absolute number of iPhones sold may not capture the whole picture.
