2023 NIGERIA’S ELECTION: Peter Obi and His Algorithmisation Campaign Strategy

0

As at October, 2022, the share market of Google search engine in Nigeria is 98.37%. This indicates that Nigerians prioritise the use of the product than others such as Yahoo and Bing while seeking information on the Internet. It is therefore appropriate to say that many Internet users are using the product to get information about the leading candidates ahead of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria. A navigational search conducted on the search engine by our analyst reveals that information about Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party has been highly normalised than other candidates, indicating a large number of publications about him from different sources.

There are approximately 21,600,000 results in the overall category, which includes news, videos, images, books, maps, shopping, flights, and maps. There are over 200,000 and 4,000,000 million results for understanding Mr Peter Obi in the news and video categories, respectively. Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, trails him with approximately 4,200,000 results in all categories, while over 700,000 results are also available for understanding him (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) within the news category. For him, our search yields approximately 1,220,000 results in the video category. The People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, comes in third in all categories.

Having more information from various sources that do not appear to be paid for indicates that everyone is supporting his campaign movement. It has also indicated that there are limits to what politicians who have held various national positions can achieve through the use of new technologies. For example, the acceptance and discussion of Mr Peter Obi’s views on how Nigeria should be governed on the virtual sphere indicates that Nigerian youth, who primarily use emerging technologies, are assisting him in institutionalizing algorithmisation campaign strategy in Nigerian political campaigns.

Even though Mr. Peter Obi is gaining a sizable amount of attention on digital platforms, it is important to remember that in Nigeria, winning elections requires more than just having a group of “digitally inclined youth” to spread programmes and issues that would be addressed after the election. Nigerians need to have access to the final version of Mr. Peter Obi’s manifesto. This is necessary because previous information indicates that the final copy of the manifesto is not yet available. “We have not formally released our Manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space,” he notes in one of his tweets.

There is no doubt that a number of interviews with the local, national, and international media as well as appearances at various debates have identified issues that will be addressed. However, it is imperative that ideas are put down in writing for both immediate and future reference. After more than 50 days of campaigning across the country, the strategic agenda of the LP should not be difficult to disclose given that the APC and PDP presidential candidates have already released theirs.

Best Metaverse Tokens to invest in December 2023: Gala (GALA), Tron (TRX), and Orbeon Protocol (ORBN)

0

Since Meta (Facebook) revealed its intentions of creating a virtual iteration of our real world – the word metaverse has been the trending buzzword. Blockchain projects have started embracing the new idea, having incorporated web3 and metaverse in their roadmap activities to boost their token’s use case and utility. As a result, metaverse tokens present untapped opportunities to investors in 2023. These include Gala (GALA), Tron (TRX) and Orbeon Protocol (ORBN), which is notably expected to surge by over 6000% in presale.

Orbeon Protocol – Decentralized Crowdfunding Opportunities in the Metaverse

Orbeon Protocol is a decentralized crowdfunding platform that provides easy fundraising opportunities for real-world and virtual startups.

Orbeon Protocol differs from regular and traditional crowdfunding platforms. The aim is to improve how startups fund their ideas by seamlessly connecting them with everyday investors. It promotes web3 and the metaverse by using equity-based NFTs to act as the fundraising vehicle on the platform, allowing users to easily invest in fractionalized NFTSs at an extremely affordable price. This can start from as low as $1.

Due to its practicality in the real world and the metaverse, the Orbeon token (ORBN) is seeing massive demand during presale It is useful for gaining rights and perks within the platform – including decision-making power, access to Orbeon Protocol’s private investment circles, and lower fees when making transactions. The token will also be useful for Orbeon Protocol’s metaverse platform in the future.

Investors are swarming the ORBN presale which is currently in phase 2, and is expected to rise by over 6000% in the coming months. This price action has already been seen by investors, as the price of ORBN has risen from $0.009 to $0.014 in the past week.

Gala (GALA) – Gala Gaming Metaverse

Gala (GALA) is the ERC-20 native and utility token of the Gala Games ecosystem – a decentralized play-to-earn gaming and entertainment ecosystem. As a utility token, GALA supports a lot of utility functions within Gala Games, particularly as legal tender that powers economic activities.

So far, Gala Games has released dozens of games, with more than 600 million active players recorded earlier this year. GALA token, issued in November 2021, has risen significantly by at least 1000%. Its market capitalization is currently at $240 million.

However, compared to other popular metaverse tokens, GALA is relatively undervalued, and experts think its value may rise soon. The token, which is trading at $0.03, was speculated to reach $0.5 to $0.7, about a 2000% rise in the coming years.

Tron (TRX) – MegaCryptoPolis

Tron is a Singapore-based decentralized blockchain platform that focuses on promoting and improving the global entertainment system with excellent cost-effective digital content. The Tron network cuts off intermediaries and paves the way for content creators and artists to connect with their audience and sell their content directly to them.

Earlier this year, Tron announced its plan to build a metaverse and a play-to-earn blockchain-based city-building game called MegaCryptoPolis. The metaverse will allow players to engage in economic activities and trade gaming items with Tron’s native token, TRX. The token is also used to pay Tron creators at little to no cost.

Tron peaked at $0.22 in the crypto bull run of January 2018 from its $0.002 launch price, about a 10,000% rise. The token currently trades at $0.06, with a decent price loss of 25% this year. In fact, its market capitalization stands at $5.1 billion, and analysts have speculated that its price might break $1 in the long term.

Conclusion

With the considerable attention surrounding the metaverse, it is no surprised that projects and tokens with potential in the metaverse have seen tremendous demand as investors scramble to get in before the token’s price surges. Existing ones like Gala (GALA) and Tron (TRX) are at their yearly lows, due to a lack of usability in the metaverse and the real world. However, there has been some bullish momentum from projects like Orbeon Protocol (ORBN), which has been predicted to see 60x returns as the project revolutionizes the metaverse with democratized venture capital investment.

Tobi Amusan and Her 10 Strategies for Winning at National, Global Stage

0

Tobi Amusan, born on April 27, 1997 in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, is a Nigerian athlete with a global professional number of 14,579,526. On November 8, 2016, she tweeted, “Unknown now, but soon, I will be unforgettable… “I will keep trying until I succeed.” She set the women’s world 100m hurdles record of 12.12 seconds on July 24, 2022. According to our analysis of her participation in various competitions between 2016 and 2022, her average running time was 17.45 seconds, while her winning time was 12.80 seconds. She mostly competed in the United States, Nigeria, and Germany. According to the consistency analysis, participation in the 100 and 60 meter hurdles paid off more than other categories.

This piece does not solely focus on describing her performances. Instead, it focuses on her winning tactics, from which current and future sports professionals could learn how to achieve their desired outcomes. From the interviews she gave to national and international newspapers after breaking the world record, our analyst chose a few of her thoughts. The thoughts are carefully placed in Robert Greene’s 2006 book The 33 Strategies of War. It is a book that provides offensive and defensive strategies for dealing with social and business conflicts.

Selected Thoughts and Emerged Strategies

Tobi Amusan: “My coach taught me that when I walk into a room full of my rivals, I should look like I own the damn world record. She always reminds me that I’ve practised hard to trust myself and translate that aggressiveness onto the track.”

Emerged Strategy: Create a sense of urgency and desperation.

Tobi Amusan: “The goal was to come out and to win this gold,” Amusan said after the feat, adding, “I believe in my abilities but I was not expecting a world record at these championships. You know, the goal is always just to execute well and get the win. So, the world record is a bonus.”

Emerged Strategy: Take the line of least expectation

Tobi Amusan: “Breaking the African record was one of our mandates coming here; not just for our individual reasons but having an African record as a team is fantastic. We broke the record just two weeks ago and we did it here again.”

Emerged Strategy: Defeat them in detail

Tobi Amusan: “I came to this championship to defend my title, and I didn’t just defend it, but did it with a new Games record and I’m happy leaving the Commonwealth Games with another new African record to my name,”

Emerged Strategy: Defeat them in detail

“When I said we are going to win, I wasn’t playing because I knew we all had what it took to win, and we did it, not just breaking the record but passing the message.

Tobi Amusan: “My parents are both teachers, they are strict disciplinarians,” “When you grow up in such a family, they feel you should focus on school. And being a female, they think you are going to go astray, lose focus and all of that. “But because my mum saw what I didn’t see [in] myself, she felt she could give me a chance. And she kept telling me not to disappoint her.”

Emerged Strategy: Control the dynamic

Exhibit 1: Number of Appearance per Competitions’ Location

Tobi Amusan: “My mum would tell my dad I was going to church while I sneaked to practice, or tell him I was going to a school debate while I went to out-of-state competition. That’s where it all started. “My dad got really mad once when he found out [I was running]. He burnt all my training gear and told my mum that’s the last time he wanted to see me in a stadium.”

Emerged Strategy: Pick your battles carefully

Tobi Amusan: “I go out there and put 100% in every championship, and it’s just never enough. Every time, it’s a fourth-place finish. “Then this time my 100% is not only a gold medal but a world record. Trusting myself just made everything easier. I’m thankful to the man above for keeping me healthy. When God says it’s your time, it’s your time.”

Emerged Strategy: Dominate while seem to submit

Exhibit 2: Trends of Running and Winning

Tobi Amusan: “I used to be on the soccer team, but I would be all over the place on the pitch.”  “My coach suggested I go try out on the track team and I became the fastest girl on the team, that’s how I got on the school relay team.”

Emerged Strategy: Pick your battles carefully

Her Coach (Lacena Golding-Clarke): “At the Nigerian Olympic Trials, her parents’ earliest fear came true. Tobi felt the pain and disappointment that many athletes face competing in Nigeria. Tobi ran a blistering race in the 100ms Hurdles Final but the officials did not turn on the electronic timer.”

Emerged Strategy: Give your rivals enough rope to hang themselves

Tobi Amusan: “I called my coach, she told me that they know what I’m capable of. They saw it, even though they assumed that they did not time me, I know that you have that time in you. I want you to out to another track meter and prove to them that if they can’t record it at home, they will record it elsewhere.”

Emerged Strategy: Sow uncertainty and panic through acts of terror

Tobi Amusan: “Y’all should meet my lovely coach and second mum, Coach Lacena Golding Clarke. “She recruited me while I was back in Nigeria to University of Texas, El Paso when I was running 14.20s and today is history for both of us. “She was also a world class hurdler during her active days; multiple finalists at the Olympics, World Championships and a Commonwealth Games Champion representing Jamaica.”

Emerged Strategy: Develop your fingertip feel

Buhari’s Brilliance on the New Oil Drilling Project in Bauchi/Gombe Nigeria

2

Let me send my congratulations to president Buhari for kickstarting a new oil drilling project in Nigeria.  Sure – more oil will not save Nigeria. Yes, I do not believe that more oil will change any economic trajectory in Nigeria. The more oil Nigeria drills, the more we lose our minds. Nonetheless, I want to congratulate Nigeria and specifically the president for demonstrating one thing: Nigeria has the capacity to execute anything it truly wants to do: “Three years after its oil exploration in northern Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has flagged-off oil drilling projects in the region…at a border community between Bauchi and Gombe States…The project partner, the New Nigeria Development Company, is owned by the 19 states of Northern Nigeria.”

Three years after its oil exploration in northern Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has flagged-off oil drilling projects in the region.

The project, dubbed Kolmani Integrated Development Project, heralds the first ever oil drilling Endeavour in the northern Kolmani River II Oil Field located at a border community between Bauchi and Gombe States.

NAN reports that Buhari will perform the official ground-breaking ceremony of the Oil Prospecting Lease (OPLs) 809 and 810 at the Kolmani River II Well on Tuesday.

The project partner, the New Nigeria Development Company, is owned by the 19 states of Northern Nigeria.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, in October 2019, announced the discovery of crude oil, gas and condensate in the Kolmani River.

The speed and the efficiency which Mr President and his team have executed this project demand our commendation. You see, when we cannot build a bridge after 21 years or fix an airport after 12 years or even repair roads, it has nothing to do with capacity. Simply, it is all about political will and leadership.

IBB built Abuja from scratch in less than 5 years. Today,  governors celebrate commissioning of flyovers. Ask me how many bazaars IBB would have celebrated if he was commissioning flyovers.  Today, opening motorparks are big events. Ask me how many Jakande would have celebrated.  My kinsman, Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (RIP Ogboo), provided the foundation of modern Aladinma and Ikenegbu layout in Owerri in less than 9 months he was a governor.

So, fellow citizens, this is a big lesson: we need political will and Mr President has demonstrated that Nigeria can do things, from fixing the refinery to the university system, only if we are truly interested. According to the BBC I monitored today, this project will bring $70 billion to Nigeria over ten years. Do not be distracted by that “chicken change”; Nigeria earned close to $742 billion between 1999 and 2020 on oil. Indeed, $70 billion may not even be enough to steal around!

Nigeria earned $741.48 billion from oil and gas between 1999 and 2000, the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) declared in Abuja on Tuesday.

NEITI Executive Secretary, Ogbonnaya Orji, made the declaration at a “stakeholders’ engagement forum” on the implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).

NEITI had so far conducted and published 25 cycles of audit reports in the oil and gas sector, covering the period 1999 to 2020, he said.

Mr Orji said that from the reports, a total of $741.48 billion had accrued to the Nigerian government from the oil and gas sector during the period.

On this event , focus on the fact that Nigeria can execute this project (with no Shell, Chevron, or big players involved) in less than 3 years! Can we replicate the same feat in other areas? That is the message, oil or no oil.
