Disrupt Africa has published a report, Agrinnovating for Africa: Exploring the African Agri-Tech Startup Ecosystem Report 2018, which has compiled and examined data on 82 agriculture technology (agtech) startups currently operating in 16 African countries.
The report notes that the African agtech space is booming, with the number of startups operating in the market growing 110% over the past two years, and over US$19 million invested into the sector in that period.
Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana lead the markets in the report. Zenvus (which I own), ThriveAgric, and Farmcrowdy are the leading companies from Nigeria.
The report (paywall) is here.
