Adele’s fiancé, Rich Paul, shares a unique insight into their relationship.

It appears that it took some time for Adele and Rich Paul to switch roles. In fact, the 16-time Grammy winner claimed that their connection was entirely platonic for "some time" after meeting the sports agent through a friend because he didn't want to create an odd situation.

“I never tried to get fresh with people that’s in comfortable circles because they always have to deal with that, so that was never my thing,” on the Glass Half Full podcast's June 9 episode, Paul informed Craig Melvin. “It was really something that happened very organically, really.”

The 45-year-old stated that his relationship with his fiancée did not begin with their friends setting them up, despite the fact that he usually keeps specifics of his dating quiet. He was initially romantically linked to the singer in 2021.

“We just used to always see each other, laugh and joke,” he added. “It was just cordial, really, just cordial. Until it became not so cordial. Until I became a person of interest.”

Additionally, the creator of Klutch Sports Group, which represents celebrities like LeBron James, Jalen Hurts, and A'ja Wilson, acknowledged that before to getting to know Adele, he wasn't necessarily a fan of her music.

“Obviously, you can’t help but to hear the monster hits,” he remarked. “Obviously, I’m pretty on the pulse of a lot of different things, and so, some of the songs, the big songs, but I didn’t know all of the joints that I know now.”

However, Paul joked that the singer of "Hello" would face some competition. “I’m the best singer in the house.”

Adele, who has a 13-year-old son named Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, has likewise remained largely silent about her current relationship. She did, however, previously describe how much she likes to spend time with Paul.

“He's just hilarious. Oh, he's so funny,” during her One Night Only concert special in 2021, she revealed this to Oprah Winfrey. “And very smart. You know, he's very, very smart. It's quite incredible watching him do what he does."

What did she like best about the romance? "Just the easiness of it," Adele went on to say. "It's just been very smooth."
