Twenty years later, Miley Cyrus is currently taking you inside the scenes of Hannah Montana, so you get the limo out front.
Following the show's 20th anniversary special, which debuted on Disney+ and Hulu on March 24, the Grammy winner revealed every detail about the Disney Channel program. Her teenage crush on classmate Jeff back in Nashville was replaced by her crushes on fellow Disney stars Dylan Sprouse, Nick Jonas, and Mitchel Musso.
"I thought Mitchel Musso was really cute," Miley acknowledged that Oliver was her co-star. "So, I was like, 'OK, bye, Jeff.' It's all about Mitchell now. I was like, 'Great! Crush. I'm good now. I'm set up.’"
Regarding her relationship with co-star Emily Osment, who portrayed Miley's best friend Lilly, the "Flowers" singer acknowledged that her peculiar eating choices on set may have turned the actress off.
"I did something really gnarly," she stated. "My favorite thing to get at Panda Express was the white rice and pour Diet Coke on top, instead of soy sauce. It's a whole thing. Emily, no wonder she was like, 'Who is this bumpkin that they got?'"
Miley teased, "I am from the south in a way that it's really hard to describe.”
She does, however, value her heritage and attributes a large portion of her identity to her upbringing by Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus.
"I don't know if our reality would be the same without the show, for better or for worse," after the special, Miley informed Alex Cooper. "No family really gets to experience what we had."
She is also happy that she was able to reconcile with Billy Ray after their altercation last year.
"I'm really excited for him to be here, because I know how much our relationship means to everyone that watched this show," Miley added. "I think when me and my dad are good, people, they feel better. It just feels good when the Cyruses are getting along.”
