As Trump Scales Tariff Tension, Spotlight Shifts to WTO

It is evolving into a big trade war: “The economic standoff between the United States and its closest trading partners escalated dramatically on Saturday as Canada and Mexico announced sweeping retaliatory tariffs in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s new trade restrictions.” China has vowed to join the crosshairs.

And just like that, the World Trade Organization (WTO) is thrown into the spotlight. I will be reading what happens next as Trump has already broken many trade laws, and he has not done 30 days at work!

Good People, just watch how the EU will drop cases and extortions against Apple, Meta, etc because the message is clear: do not mess with America. I did not vote for Trump, but I am happy recording his playbook. He seems untethered by any political umbilical cord when you note that in DEI in America, the major beneficiaries are not even minorities by race: "White women have benefitted the most from DEI programs". The next 4 years will be interesting!

President Donald Trump is imposing 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, a 10% tariff on Chinese goods and a 10% tariff on Canadian energy products, effective Tuesday. The White House says Trump signed executive orders for the tariffs Saturday. The administration is targeting the nation's two largest trading partners in an attempt to persuade them to "stop the flow of migrants and drugs into the country." In response, both Canada and Mexico's leaders said they will impose retaliatory tariffs.
