There is the rumour that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Nigeria has called off its eight-month-long strike. The government will send the Union N70 billion. But the photo that carried the message looks really troubling for a modern Nigeria where we continue to preach the need for gender empowerment. Does it mean that ASUU cannot find a female lecturer to join its leadership?
