The legal issues facing Brian Hickerson are becoming worse. Following a fight at a South Carolina bar on September 12, Hayden Panettiere's intermittent boyfriend and his brother Zach Hickerson were briefly arrested, Greenville police reported to news agencies.
Officers were sent to the location at around 9:10 p.m. “in reference to a reported assault inside the restaurant.”
“Upon arrival, officers located several individuals involved in an altercation and detained multiple patrons while the incident was investigated,” the police department's statement continued. “Two individuals were identified as Brian Hickerson and Zachary Hickerson.”
Authorities reported that Zach was "highly intoxicated," despite the fact that Brian was freed from the scene and not charged.
“He began yelling profanities in a public setting,” according to the statement, “and as a result, he was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center.”
The fight occurred over a month after it was established that Zach and Brian were present when Hayden passed away on August 16 in the apartment in Greenville, South Carolina. Her age was thirty-six.
As per 911 dispatch recordings, Zack informed TMZ on August 21, "I immediately called 911 and Brian gave her Narcan," prior to the Heroes alum receiving medical attention for what seemed to be an overdose and cardiac collapse.
“We then jointly performed CPR while 911 was on speaker until Fire and EMS arrived,” the pastor went on. “At that point we watched as they tried every measure possible to save her life."
When media outlets contacted Brian's lawyer about Zach's remarks, he did not respond.
"No signs of trauma were discovered that would have contributed to the death," according to Greenville County Coroner Mike Ellis' autopsy report, which news sources were able to access. (The method and reason of her death are still unknown.)
Zach added that he is "beyond heartbroken and devastated" by Hayden's passing. Zach's brother was initially connected to the star of I Love You, Beth Cooper in 2018.
"Hayden was one of my dearest and closest friends that I loved and cared about for the last 8 years," he went on to say. "Out of respect for her loved ones, the speculation and sensationalism of her death needs to end until the facts can be released from the investigation."
