Gigi Hadid speaks out after being linked to the Epstein files
Gigi Hadid is speaking out on a delicate subject. The supermodel expressed her opinions over the files pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein that were recently made public by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), in which she is specifically addressed.
A redacted person questioned the disgraced financier about Gigi and sister Bella Hadid's career achievement in a December 2015 email conversation that was part of the records that news outlets were able to access. The person said, “How did the Hadid sisters became models and make so much money?! I don’t understand…”
"The father paid the agency," the person wrote in response to Epstein's "You know," to which the deceased sex offender merely replied, "No." "Because they follow directions, it's that simple," he continued later in the conversation.

Hadid responded that the documents "made me sick to my stomach" when a social media user remarked on her March 29 Instagram image that they "had to unfollow" the 30-year-old since she "ain't talk bout those files."
“Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context,” in her message dated March 30, she provided an explanation. “I didn’t comment bc I don’t want to take away from the stories of real victims of his; but your comment made me realize maybe it's not clear—and it’s important to let you know.”
Hadid, who has a 5-year-old daughter named Khai with her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik, said that although she "grew up privileged," her parents, Mohammed and Yolanda Hadid, "protected me and taught me the value of hard work." She said that since joining a modeling agency in 2012, "I've worked hard every moment since."
“To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email—is disturbing,” finally, she stated, “and I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being.”
Epstein was arrested in July 2019 and charged with sex trafficking of kids and conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors. Epstein had previously accepted a plea deal on charges of obtaining a juvenile for prostitution and soliciting a prostitute. Weeks later, he committed suicide while incarcerated.
