How Local Firefighters Are Surprised by Josh Duhamel After Seeing One on Screen.

Josh Duhamel recently showed his appreciation for local firefighters in Los Angeles by making a significant donation to Fire Department Station 88. He contributed $20,000 and a Bobcat utility vehicle (UTV) to recognize their efforts, especially during the devastating wildfires earlier this year.

“I'm so proud and grateful for the work our firefighters do in this town,” In a candid interview, he disclosed. “I think anybody who lives here understands how important they are to this community.”

Duhamel, who played a firefighter in the 2012 thriller Fire With Fire, has long admired the profession but emphasized that real firefighters are on a different level. “Playing a firefighter isn't quite actually fighting fire,” he shared, adding that he deeply respects the work they do.

“Anytime you can meet the guys who do the actual deed, it helps you,” he clarified. “Playing a firefighter isn't quite actually fighting fire, so yes, I do learn from these guys. I really do admire them so much in the work that they do, so any chance I get to support them, I take that seriously.”

His donation was made in collaboration with Bobcat, a global equipment company for which he serves as a brand ambassador. He highlighted how Bobcat frequently supports communities and expressed his desire to continue doing purposeful work.

“I've been working with Bobcat now for six years or more, and they're always looking to do things to help communities big or small,” he went on. “Anything that they can do to help these tremendous, heroic firefighters get the job done, keep people safe and prevent these things from spreading any further than they can.”

Duhamel isn't the only celebrity stepping up—others like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jennifer Lopez have also donated towards relief efforts.

And the opportunity to give back has proven to be fulfilling for Josh as well.

“I just want to keep doing things that give me a purpose,” he revealed. “I feel like I always have to be building something. If I'm not building something, I'm kind of lost.”
