Jennifer Graziano Reveals the Latest on Mob Wives comeback.

Jennifer Graziano is prepared to revive the cinematic mob wife style. The creator of Mob spouses, which followed the spouses and daughters of those associated with the Italian American Mafia in New York City, disclosed that discussions are underway for a return of the show more than ten years after its six-season run concluded.

“Networks reached out to me last year wanting a reboot, but they wanted a different show,” in a joint interview with her older sister, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano, Jennifer confidentially revealed information to media organizations. “They didn't want the same old—and I don't mean old people—cast members. They didn't want the same old stories. They wanted new cast members, with all the other sprinkled in.”

Jennifer explained that the new show will be a new form of familigia, with Renee serving as the glue from the previous series, while Renee quipped that her sister was referring to them as "old girl."

“Same theory, but different cast members. And they wanted it multigenerational,” the 54-year-old clarified. “We have about nine new cast members. Some in their 30s, some in their 40s. They're all kind of new age in the sense that they're looking at it from a different perspective.”

Jennifer, who is the daughter of Anthony A. Graziano, a late member of the Bonnano crime family, stressed that the revised version would still need to adhere to the show's moniker. As she pointed out, people who are being considered for the show actually have "such great connections with real big, well-known names."

She has a backup plan, even though she expects that official preparations for the new show will be in place in the upcoming months.

“I’ll finance it myself and put it out—maybe,” Jennifer joked,. “So that's where we are right now.”

The producer acknowledged that there will be a significant shift behind the scenes in addition to the cast changes: she is unlikely to be as involved this time.

“I want to just get it going and then I'm going to the beach,” she clarified. “I am hiring an entire team to handle my work for me. I will never, ever, ever do what I did the last time and spend all that time on set. I didn't need to.”

Fortunately, though, all those years spent on set gave Jennifer, Renee, and co-star Marissa Jade a wealth of behind-the-scenes knowledge and anecdotes that they will share with audiences this summer during the Mob Wives: The Sit Down Tour, an eight-city live event series with City Winery.

After working behind the scenes for years, Jennifer, who also wrote the stage play Married By the Mob with Renee, was especially eager for a fresh approach to engage viewers.

“I don't know if I'm gonna love it or hate it,” she acknowledged,, “but I'll let you know.”
