Jessie J revealed that she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer just over two months ago.

Jessie J recently revealed that she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer over two months ago. She shared the news in an emotional Instagram video, explaining that she has been undergoing tests and will have surgery after her June 15 performance at the Summertime Ball in London.

Despite the diagnosis, she remains optimistic, emphasizing the word "early" and using humor to cope, saying, "It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job." She also expressed gratitude for her fans' support and noted that sharing her journey has helped her process the experience.

"It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job," she explained. "I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music."

Jessie, who has a 2-year-old son named Sky with basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, stated that she was hesitant to make her illness public but chose to be "transparent" for some of reasons.

"One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough," she went on. "I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories. I'm an open book."

Second, she wants to express her support for those who are fighting cancer by pointing out, "It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse, that's the bit that kills me."

Additionally, following the release of the songs "No Secrets" in April and "Living My Best Life" last month, Jessie felt compelled to be open about her life.

As stated by her, the recordings were "all pre-planned before I found out about this. I mean, you can't make it up."

Jessie J has always been open about her health struggles, previously discussing her diagnoses of ADHD and OCD last year. Now, she hopes her transparency will help others facing similar challenges.

The Grammy nominee, added, "It's a weird topic and a weird situation." Nevertheless, she has already learned some valuable lessons from her experience with cancer.

"The timing of it has been mad but also beautiful and given me this incredible perspective in this time," On her Instagram Story, Jessie gave an explanation. "But honestly I need to process it and talk about it and, I need a hug. You have loved me through all my good and hard times. And I don't want this to be any different."
