Logos Olori Unpacks the Philosophy Behind Upcoming EP "Qualia" and Teases Exciting Collaborations.

LAGOS, NIGERIA — Afrobeats artist Logos Olori appeared on "Tekila Talks" at The Free Republic studio on June 3, where he opened up about the inspiration behind his forthcoming project, Qualia, offering fans a rare glimpse into the deeper ideas shaping the EP.

During the interview, Logos Olori explained the philosophical meaning of the word “qualia,” using everyday experiences to illustrate the concept. Holding a coffee mug, he described qualia as the personal, subjective nature of perception — what philosophers often refer to as the “redness of red” or the “whiteness of white.” While people may agree on the name of a color, he noted that no one can truly confirm whether another person experiences that color in exactly the same way.

Connecting the concept to music and creativity, Logos Olori explained that Qualia reflects the idea that all art is rooted in individual human experience. According to the singer, the inability to fully see the world through someone else’s perspective is what makes personal expression and storytelling so important.

The artist also revealed that the project remains a work in progress, with recording sessions still underway. Although the final tracklist has not yet been confirmed, he disclosed that the EP is expected to contain between five and seven tracks, similar in scope to his previous project.

When discussing collaborations, Logos Olori hinted at an impressive lineup of guest appearances. He mentioned artists such as Morravey and Qing Madi while jokingly claiming that legendary stars Michael Jackson and Jay-Z would also appear on the project, a remark clearly made in jest.

The conversation later shifted to fan requests for a collaboration with Young Jonn. Responding humorously, Logos Olori joked that Young Jonn was “too young” for him, recounting a playful exchange they had the previous day. He laughed that the producer had “been young since 2014” and should “get old” before the two finally work together.

The interview wrapped up with a teaser confirming that Qualia is on the way. While no official release date has been announced, the project is already generating anticipation among fans eager to hear how Logos Olori’s philosophical ideas and personal experiences will be translated into music.
