Businesses should not allow this to stand. Someone has to sue the Federal Government or Central Bank of Nigeria for this policy to be reversed. I cannot imagine losing 0.5% on electronic transactions. If Nigerian banking is decent, it ought to sue NOT to be used as an avenue to do this. We call our government to pause this policy. I do not live in Nigeria to be affected by this, but I think it is a VERY bad policy.
