Pentagon shares the deal: "The Pentagon has announced that the $9 billion contract to build its cloud computing network will be split between Amazon, Google, Oracle and Microsoft (parent company of LinkedIn). The Joint Warfighter Cloud Capability is intended to give military personnel access to unclassified, secret and top-secret data wherever they are in the world. Announced last year, the project replaced the Defense Department’s previous award, then known as JEDI. That $10 billion contract was issued solely to Microsoft but was canceled in the face of legal challenges from losing bidder Amazon."
