RK-Bro set to clash with The Usos at Wrestlemania Backlash
It is no news that RK-Bro are one of the stables the entire WWE universe are loving right now. The Original Bro and The Viper have established themselves as one of the most loved factions in the sports entertainment universe ever since they decided to become a 'thing' last year. Undoubtedly, Orton's charisma combines just well with Riddle's persona and entertaining abilities, therefore, WWE have done a really great one in bringing this two men together. This team has led to The Apex Predator making a face turn, to a great upgrade for Riddle's career as the duo have won the Raw Tagteam Championship twice and are currently holding it for the second time.
Conversely, members of The Bloodline, Jimmy and Jey Uso have been on a fantastic heel run ever since Reigns influenced them under his Tribal Chief tenure. The former Big Dog has played an highly pivotal role in the transformation of his cousins ever since he returned to screen in August 2020. Talking about pivotal roles and influence, Reigns(who had just become the undisputed WWE universal champion) was present for a coronation ceremony, post-Wrestlemania. Addressing his stablemates, he claimed he didn't have anything else to win and revealed his desire for The Samoan Tag team champions to unify the tag titles like he had done at Wrestlemania 38. Following this order, Jimmy and Jey visited the Red brand to lay a challenge to the Red brand Tag team title holders, Orton and Riddle, and ultimately attack their potential opponents. The Viper-Bro connection would then show up on The Usos' friday-bound event, to accept the challenge, setting up a fantastic match for the PPV next month.
It's not the first time a championship will be unified and May 8's cross-brand contest will be the thirteenth match in which two titles have been unified into one in the entire WWE history. Perhaps the most notable moment was the unification of the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship at TLC 2013(which featured Randy Orton against John Cena). The most recent unification which occured at Wrestlemania 38 featuring Roman Reigns' Universal Championship and Brock Lesnar's WWE Championship was also a great one. We will see a thirteenth one on the second Sunday of May when Apex Predator-Bro and The Usos go face-to-face in what promises to be a good one. Who's is it going to be?
