The 6% stamp duty on rent while technically correct does not affect the common man. So, I deleted my post on it. Yes, there is a 6% but I am not here to help Dangote, Kalu, Ovia, Otedola - and to my knowledge they are not complaining. So, I do not care if the government wants to impose it. For the common man, the impact is minimal at 0.78%. Sure, that is not good but we all agree that 0.78% is not 6%.
