In the dating context, Tori Spelling is 90210-ver. The former cast member of Beverly Hills 90210 gave an explanation for her continued single status after splitting from her ex-husband Dean McDermott, stating that her romantic life hasn't been a major priority lately.
“I am not thinking about dating,” in an interview that was published on April 4, she tells People. “I am in my power era and I’m rebuilding and reinventing and taking it to the next level.”
As a result, the 52-year-old, who and Dean have children Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9, isn't letting anything stop her from advancing in her career.
“I'm like, ‘Yeah, I'm back. This is my second chapter,’” she added. “I have so many businesses that I want to build, [and build] my empire and I can date later. That can always come.”
After 17 years of marriage, Tori and Dean, 59, split in 2023 and finalized their divorce in November. However, the two have stayed together to raise their family in spite of their resolve to part ways.
“We do family dinners, we do everything together,” in December, she informed People, “so it's really good for the kids.”
The misSPELLING podcast presenter was pleasantly surprised by her amicable settlement with her ex, who is also the father of a 27-year-old son named Jack, after witnessing past breakups.
“I watched families go through horror stories with the parents, and at the end of the day, you created beings because you had so much love between you,” she revealed. “We love and care about each other so much, and I was shocked because I always read horror stories and everyone predicted it to be so messy, the divorce, and it was super easy and loving.”
Thankfully, like Tori and Dean, many Hollywood ex-partners have been able to establish cordial post-breakup ties.
