Zaire Wade is now dealing with legal issues. On June 21, the oldest son of former NBA player Dwyane Wade was taken into custody in Burbank, California, following a police call to a nearby home.
News sources have access to the Burbank Police Department's daily arrest logs, which show that the 24-year-old was detained for "domestic violence, criminal threats, false imprisonment and attempted murder.”
Meanwhile, the BPD verified to news sources that Zaire was finally charged with felony domestic abuse, criminal threats, and false detention. Additionally, a temporary restraining order known as an emergency protective order (EPO) was made in order to safeguard the victim.

Zaire was released later that day after posting a $50,000 bail after being arrested; Burbank Police noted that no plea has been recorded as of yet. Detectives will bring the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office for filing due process, the police also stated.
Reps for Zaire's family have been contacted by news organizations for further comment, but they have not responded.
The authorities were alerted to a Burbank residence at 5:30 a.m. on June 21 when someone phoned 911 after hearing a woman scream, according to legal sources who spoke with NBC4 Investigates.
Authorities reported that Zaire and an unnamed woman with cuts on her face and body were discovered when BPD arrived. The woman was not sent to the hospital, but paramedics came to see how she was doing.
Law officials informed NBC4 that when Zaire was taken into custody, a firearm was removed from the residence.
Zaire is the oldest son of Dwyane and Siohvaughn Funches, his former spouse. Additionally, the two have a 19-year-old daughter named Zaya Wade, whose stepmother is Gabrielle Union, Dwyane's wife.
Following in his father's athletic footsteps, Zaire played basketball for the Salt Lake City Stars, a minor league NBA franchise, from 2021 to 2022 after graduating from Sierra Canyon High School in Los Angeles in 2020.
