How to Make Money With a Crypto Trading Bot: Copy Trades, Limit Orders and Exits on Banana Gun

A crypto trading bot does three jobs that decide whether a trade ends in profit: it copies a wallet, buys or sells at a price you set, and exits on rules you chose once. Banana Gun runs all three inside Telegram, so they keep working while you are at your day job.

Banana Gun is a Telegram trading bot that bananagun.io lists at 26M+ lifetime trades, $16B+ lifetime volume and 1.5M+ lifetime users (read 3 Nov 2026). The jobs below use its real buttons.

The upside the jobs aim at is documented. GMGN showed Peace Coin up 10,873% within hours of its launch on 2 Nov 2026, and the Fomo app trader frank at +$258,719 over 30 days on 27 Oct 2026.

For the order side, read the guide to on-chain limit orders.

What does a crypto trading bot do while you sleep?

It waits for the conditions you set and acts when they are met. A bot has no view of its own about a token or a wallet.

The three jobs matter for that reason. A copied wallet gives the bot its entries; a limit order or an exit order gives it a price to act at.

Job one: copy a wallet with a 30-day record

Open Copy Trading from the start menu or type /copytrade, tap New Copy Trade, paste the wallet address and toggle it from Inactive to Active. Copy trading is documented on Solana and on Robinhood Chain.

Choose the wallet by its 30-day record. The figure for frank was +$863,301 on 8 Oct, +$447,431 on 20 Oct and +$258,719 on 27 Oct, so even a strong wallet can cool off.

Size the copy with Buy Fixed, filter entries with Max Market Cap, and cap the total with Spending Limit. Copied buys land after the wallet’s buy, so you often pay a higher price than it did.

Copy Sells on means you sell when the wallet sells. Leave it off if you want your own exit to decide.

Job two: limit orders at your price

A limit order fires when the price or market cap reaches your level. For a token you hold, paste the contract and tap Setup Sell Limit Order; from a copy trade, Setup Limit Order places buy and sell limit orders in the same menu.

Triggers use a percentage change in Market Cap or Token Price. Active sets how long the order lives, and an order past its Active time is gone.

Open orders are listed under Limit Order Overview and Pending Limit Orders, so check there before you assume one is still waiting.

Job three: the exit you set once

Choose Take Profit, Stop Loss or Trailing Stop Loss; each position gets one exit order. Take Profit at +100% is 2x, and +300% is 4x.

Say you buy 0.5 SOL (about $46 at $91.56 per SOL, CoinGecko, 2 Nov 2026), set +300% and Tokens to 80%. The order returns about 1.6 SOL, roughly $146, before fees and slippage. These are settings you choose, not a forecast.

Tokens at 100% sells the whole position, and a lower percentage leaves a remainder running.

A Trailing Stop Loss raises its trigger as price makes new highs.

Setting up the Telegram trading bot from zero

Open the bot and tap Wallet Setup, then Create Wallet. Name it and save the private key, which is shown once; Banana Gun cannot show it again. You can also import a key from Phantom or Solflare.

Type /wallets to see the public key and send at least 0.1 SOL (about $9), from Phantom or an exchange. Keep 0.05 SOL for fees, because “Insufficient Funds” appears below it.

The fee is 1% per trade on Solana. Paste a contract to open the buy menu, tap a Buy button, wait for “Buy Success” and check /positions.

Two defaults apply to a buy you place. Anti-MEV is on, using private transactions (on Solana via Jito), and a pre-trade sell check runs before the buy.

What happens when the bot follows a bad rule?

It follows it anyway. A Take Profit set too high never triggers, and a Stop Loss set too tight sells a position that would have recovered.

A copied wallet can lose as well. GMGN listed point farm capital at -$1,163,571 over 30 days on 20 Oct 2026 and -$271,630 on 27 Oct. The Spending Limit caps the total that wallet can spend of your capital.

A copy trade has an Active time too. In the docs example it is 8 hours, and copying stops when it runs out.

Review the rules before you switch them on, then review them again each week, because the bot will not. Get the rules right once, and the bot keeps working them through every launch you would otherwise sleep through.
