Ndubuisi Ekekwe’s 3T2030 Agenda for Nigeria

Ndubuisi Ekekwe’s 3T2030 Agenda for Nigeria

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has made it clear that he is not in sync with the group projecting him for the 2023 presidential race. As he does that, Senator Tinubu has not disowned Dayo Adeyeye led- ‘South West Agenda for 2023’ (SWAGA)  which is asking the APC chieftain to enter the fray. My permutation is this: Senator Tinubu is running.

Good People, if you have resources, I will not disassociate myself from any group asking me to run! Lol. Yes, go ahead and print the posters, and tell the world. I have 5 Pillars to transform Nigeria on my 3T2030 Agenda.  That agenda is to grow Nigeria’s economy from the current sub-$500 billion to $3 trillion (a factor of 6 growth) by 2030.

My plan is simple: expand the national balance sheet by unlocking dead assets in rural Nigeria. Because no nation has advanced without improved property rights, I will rights all lands, farmlands and properties, putting transferable velocity in them. 6 months – done.

I will kill corruption in the public sector. Within 3 months, a website will go live to make public all expenses above N10m (for security related, selected and vetted press will see). For EFCC, I will reform it, grading the Commission on efforts to prevent corruption rather than fighting corruption. We will measure what matters.

Good People, I am a teacher and I know that nations rise on knowledge. I will improve the tax code and through it unlock $10 billion to transform education. This does not mean paying more taxes. Rather, re-aligning the incentives to pay tax. The knowledge of nations is the wealth of nations.

My first pillar is to expand the national balance sheet by digitizing all farmlands (and properties) in Nigeria. I will do that within the first 6 months, using startups to grow and map lands. Each local government area will use its young people to do this job, and we will provide a market-driven process that will not cost the government anything. The plan is to make it easier for people with land assets to have access to credits even as we improve the ease to buy and sell these assets.

The ministry of lands under the existing land use act will receive immense technology evolution by bringing innovators to drive property rights in Nigeria. I expect to unlock massive wealth and open new visas for a dynamic rural economy in Nigeria. Yes, anyone with land  or property will suddenly become rich! I want those properties to show in the national balance sheet; today, they are invisible!

On the second pillar, we will build a largely Corruption-free public sector nation where it would be extremely impossible to perpetuate corruption because technology will make things obviously transparent. All government systems must be structured to be corruption-resilient so that people that want to perpetuate corruption will fail. We will publish any government expense that is more than N10 million in a web diary which all citizens will have access to. This applies to all levels in the federal government, from ministries to agencies.

For national security reasons, a segment will be available to the civil society and accredited press team. On EFCC, we will structure it to focus on preventing corruption rather than fighting corruption because it is more efficient and cheaper to prevent than to cure!

More pillars will be shared as we continue ….The master document remains with me.

Nigerians, 3T2030. A Greater Nigeria.

1 THOUGHT ON Ndubuisi Ekekwe’s 3T2030 Agenda for Nigeria

  1. Ok, you have entered the fray? No problem, I will be available for Chief of Staff role, that’s where I want to operate from.

Anyone vying or aspiring to lead Nigeria must possess these three attributes: morally sound, intellectually awesome, and then of strong character. The three must be complete, else the person will still disappoint.

Let me be the referee for now.
