SPOT THE DIFFERENCE: Obaseki and Ize-Iyamu as Candidates of Two Parties in Two Elections

0

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu was the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in 2016 while Mr. Godwin Obaseki was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the same year. In 2020, Pastor Ize-Iyamu is the flagbearer of the APC, while Mr Obaseki emerged as the candidate of the PDP after leaving his first political party (APC) when it was clear that it would be difficult to have the APC’s ticket due to leadership tussle with his erstwhile party chairman, Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole. During the two elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Mr. Godwin Obaseki twice as the winner.

However, while Mr Obaseki was announced as the winner in 2016 with the pronouncement that “the candidate of All Progressives Congress…”, it is “the candidate of People’s Democratic Party…” in 2020. The pattern of announcement is not quite different for the pronouncement of Pastor Ize-Iyamu. He was announced as the second runner-up in 2016 and 2020.

In this spot analysis, our analyst wants the public to understand the real difference between the two elections and the candidates. While doing that, attention needs to be paid to Oredo and Etsako West local councils. These are the local councils of Mr Godwin Obaseki and Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole accordingly.

This week, I claim that position as the Senior IT Lead project Consultant for that international firm.
This you Prof. Ndubuisi Ekekwe for this boost once more. (source LinkedIn)

I concur with you – and it shall come to pass. Make sure you have enough zobo, amala and nkwobi. The key to that is to make it evident that you know what you know, and that firm needs to know that. Yes, they write, do not promote yourself. Do not listen to them – the world uses the engaged and interested. That is why they keep recycling politicians because they are the ones those appointing see around them. The great zen-masters are not visible and no one remembers them.

Octave Analytics Looking for Growth Strategic Partners in Data Science in Nigeria

1

There is a reason why young people should consider horning their data science skills. The world needs over 500,000 professionals skilled in Big Data functions, but there is a massive gap of qualified data scientists with specialized skills in the world.

Octave Analytics, a Lagos based Analytics Consulting firm, addresses this problem by offering Data Science certified programs along with three important professional-tracks in Data Science:

  • Data Analytics
  • Data Engineering
  • Data Science.

They are part of the Data Science Council of America international training network and the only authorized DASCA educational provider in Nigeria. Their goal is to train and certify professionals and authenticate those who claim to be data scientists as there are a lot of fakers out there.

The commendable part of their playbook is that they create amazing opportunities for young graduates to accelerate their career in Data Science through the Octave Graduate Training Programme that offers internship and job placement opportunities. The first set is graduating this October for those interested in hiring certified Data Scientists. This is one part that complements the Nigeria Educational system by bridging the gap between gown and town for young people.

In order to scale up its national reach, Octave Analytics is opening up its distribution channel and is currently accepting strategic partners and distributors interested in rewarding partnerships to offer DASCA certification.

Should you be interested in partnering with us or have any inquiries, please contact: patners@octaveanalytics.com or Tope on: +234-802-488-9241.
