Companies are great but Families and Communities are greater. In this season, I ask you to make time to appreciate the essence of families. As you travel for Christmas, buy bread, biscuits, etc, and if you cannot make the trip, send ahead some goodies to kinsmen, kinswomen, neighbours, etc, and all.
Your parents, your children, your spouse, etc are the REAL FAMILY. Your office, no matter how amazing, is and will never be your real family. This is the moment to appreciate that REAL Family and I ask you to enjoy this season.
I mean you can be a kid again because if you visit the village, your parents or your auntie, etc, will ask you “Have you eaten?” Magically, you are a kid again even though you are running a business empire in the city. No company has that time to ask because you’re nobody’s kid at work.

Comment: Prof. the word family within an office settings may be given a more liberal meaning rather than the real meaning of the word. I do believe there are colleagues and bosses you work with and you can fully say you are with “family“. Drawing the line between both is also important.?
My Response: I did not write otherwise. You can have a family and a REAL FAMILY. At work, I have fired people in the US semiconductor industry, knowing that the guy would be flown back to India within 2 weeks due to visa status. It was not his fault – just that I got an instruction to provide 3 people from my team. Magically, I was working with “numbers” – and not people. But after 3 days, it was history because you are trying to also survive being a number under your own boss. Until you have been asked to send a list from people that eat lunch with you, you have not held a real position in a company.
Comment: Some companies are families. It comes to the very essence of their culture and values and principles. The fundamentals of their business. While the majority aint, some are true families.
