It was born with a bravado and unbounded aspiration that it could lift all black races to the eldorado. It was a nation of immense wealth and was expected to rise to the mountaintop in the league of great nations. As the flag was raised, hope transcended the solid bounds of the earth to the celestial heavens, with men and women of many nations signing for the emerging giant.
The green-white-green flag rose higher, well beyond the poles, as people saw a deep future of unconstrained prosperity. God bless Nigeria – a nation of great future. But the effervescence disappeared as the people punted their destinies with vagaries of war, nepotism, corruption and lack of vision.
So today, that nation is looking for a roadmap and a leader. Yes, a leader who can engineer Nigeria into rebirth and restoration to offer a prosperous nation that is colorful, fluidic, vibrant and open for change. Yes, a person of immense intelligence, competence, pragmatism, and unimpeachable.
