Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle, who have been traumatized by their experiences as victims of sex trafficking, achieve great success in the murky world of prostitution. However, the ghosts of their captors cannot be silenced by their newfound power. Motivated by a desire for vengeance, they set out to hunt down the people who took away their freedom across West Africa.

They reach Abidjan during their quest, where police enforcement is encroaching and the target is being held safe inside the city's citadel. As the women grapple with their past and the threats that lie ahead, they must choose between seeking closure and giving in to a terrible cycle of retaliation.

The harsh realities of tenacity, survival, and the passionate pursuit of justice are examined in this compelling thriller. This is a compelling tale of oppressed women who defy the system, regain their independence, and have the guts to confront a society that has abandoned them.

Many young girls in Africa are coerced by men close to them into prostitution, frequently far from home. The film, which addresses the intricate and highly contentious subject of forced prostitution of young girls in Africa, gains depth from the varied characters of the offenders. In the confrontation scenes, the three ladies ask a range of questions that emphasize the disparities in their trauma experiences.

The film avoids becoming reductive by providing a variety of viewpoints through the presentation of numerous profiles and situations. The movie combines sociological research with criminality while concentrating on the prostitution industry. But in the end, a theme of camaraderie and unity that transcends genre unites the plot.

A gripping tale of empowerment and redemption, 3 Cold Dishes will have viewers on the edge of their seats as they support these courageous women in their struggle against injustice and oppression.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, featuring prominent Nollywood actors like Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua. It’s further enriched by the talents of Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, alongside Senegalese stars Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.

As for the release date: the official teaser dropped on June 19/20, 2025, and the film is expected to hit cinemas hopefully later this year.

Pretty bold move from Burna Boy, right?
