A year after revealing her breast cancer diagnosis, Danielle Fishel has shared an update on her health.

Danielle Fishel is prepared to face the world. After receiving a diagnosis of high-grade ductal carcinoma in situ, a very early or "stage zero" breast cancer, in 2024, the 44-year-old actress revealed that she is doing well after her last treatments.

"I'm great," at the Jingle Ball on KIIS FM on iHeartRadio of December 5, Danielle informed People. "I mean, you still have regular doctor's appointments when you've just had cancer a year before. I just had a recent appointment with my oncologist. Everything's good."

Due to early detection, the Boy Meets World star is particularly grateful for her favorable outcomes.

"I'm in a really good headspace, and I'm just so grateful that I have my health and that I have my family," she continued. "I have a lot to be grateful for, especially this year."

Danielle, who just participated in Dancing With the Stars, said that her next mammography won't be necessary until June because her medical findings were "all clear."

Danielle described the two surgeries she had to go through to get rid of the cancer after disclosing her diagnosis in August 2024.

“On August 13, I had my first surgery,” in October 2024, she informed media outlets. “They went in, they removed a mass. That pathology came back that they had one margin they weren't thrilled with. The medial margin had cancer a little too close to it.”

She underwent a second treatment a month later to make sure there was "no more evidence of cancer and all clear margins."

"Surgically, I am now done," she stated at the time, but she clarified that there will be more components of her treatment plan after the lumpectomy.

Danielle stated on the Pod Meets World podcast that she was "officially done with what is considered active cancer treatment" after completing 20 rounds of radiation by January.

“It will help significantly lower my chances of recurrence," she clarified, "which is always good news."

She eventually accepted the Dancing With the Stars invitation after realizing she needed to be having more "fun" rather than merely going through the motions.

” The minute I was done with my cancer treatment, I thought to myself, ‘If this has shown me anything, it has shown me that I am not experiencing enough joy in my life,'" in September, Danielle tells People. “When they asked me to do this, I was like, ‘This is the perfect way to cap it off.'"
