After six years in WWE, Dwayne Johnson’s daughter Simone is stepping away and retiring her Ava Raine stage name.
The daughter of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is leaving the ring. In fact, his oldest kid, Simone Johnson, who joined the WWE in 2020, following in her father's footsteps and becoming the fourth member of her family to wrestle, declared she had decided to leave the company.
“This past Tuesday was my last appearance on NXT & subsequently WWE,” on January 30, the 24-year-old, who went by the stage name Ava Raine, posted on Instagram. “Thank you to all who have cheered, watched, and supported me through my journey.”
“While my decision to not renew my contract was very difficult, it's also new turning point in my life,” she added. “It has been an honor & a privilege to be Ava.”

Tatyanna Dumas, Simone's new girlfriend and fellow WWE talent, revealed that their joint social media account BigUps would be "pausing all scheduled content" until it is "appropriate" to resume after Simone's revelation.
“Moments like this deserve respect, clarity, and professionalism, and we intend to uphold that standard,” on the Instagram Stories for the account, Tatyanna stated. “We appreciate your continued support and understanding.”
Dwayne, who shares Simone with ex- Dany Garcia, became emotional as he praised his daughter for carrying on the family tradition four months prior to Simone's announcement that she was leaving WWE.
“I'm so proud of her,” in September, he informed MTV UK before breaking down in tears. “I'm so proud because it’s what I did, and I loved what I did, love wrestling. I grew up in wrestling. She was born into it, too, just like I was. And she said, ‘Hey, I want to do what you do.’”
However, Simone's desire to establish herself on her own terms is what moved the Rock so much about her chosen choice.
“I get emotional because she's like, ‘I want to do what you do but I want to carve my own path,’” he went on to say that she didn't want him to call her to assist launch her profession. “And that's a difference that was a big deal that I heard that.”
Dwayne came to the conclusion, “It gave me a profound sense of pride. I helped, with her mom, raise an amazing human being.”
