Eugene Mirman, known for his role on Bob's Burgers, has been hospitalized following a fiery car crash.

Eugene Mirman is recuperating from a near-death encounter. After being dragged from the flaming wreckage of a car accident in New Hampshire on March 31, the Bob's Burgers star, who has played Eugene Belcher in more than 300 episodes of the cherished cartoon comedy, was admitted to the hospital.

“Eugene was in a very scary car accident," Variety was informed by Mirman's representative on April 1. "He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend."

The spokesperson continued, "At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries.”

According to a press release from the New Hampshire State Police, Mirman, 51, was driving a 2026 Lucid Gravity when it collided with Bedford Toll Plaza at approximately 11:55 a.m. According to the authorities, 911 callers reported that the car took fire and that "someone in the vehicle appeared to be trapped."

As per authorities, a seasoned state trooper attached to New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte's security detail saw the collision and acted quickly, removing Mirman from the flaming vehicle via a window as officers raced to the scene.

Authorities said the voice actor, who was the only person in the car, was taken to a nearby hospital with severe injuries. Mirman's rescuer will not be named, according to police, "due to the nature of their position."

The crash's cause has not been revealed. Authorities stated that the collision is still being investigated, but no charges have been brought as of yet.

Nevertheless, the good Samaritan received accolades from the community; NHSP Colonel Mark B. Hall said in a statement, "Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did."

"Without hesitation," he added, "they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it.”

Ayotte expressed gratitude as well. On March 31, she wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "I want to thank the Trooper on my security detail and the bystanders who stepped up to help at the scene of the crash for their brave lifesaving efforts today," She also mentioned that she and her husband, Joseph Daley, "are praying for the full recovery of the driver who was injured today."

In a post on April 1, Ayotte said, "It's an example of the great work first responders do each day to keep New Hampshire safe and how Granite Staters always step up to help someone in need."
