‘All That’ Star Christy Knowings Dies at 46 After Asthma Attack.

One member of the Nickelodeon family has passed away. Christy Knowings, 46, who featured on All That with Nick Cannon, Amanda Bynes, Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, and others, passed away on August 12 at a hospital in the Los Angeles region, her family reported TMZ.

As reported by her family, the comedian had an asthma attack that resulted in brain damage, which led to her hospitalization and placement on life support on August 7. Her loved ones had to make the tough choice to remove her from life support five days later.

When Knowings took Tricia Dickson's place on the fourth season of All That in 1997, she became well-known. She continued as a repertory performer on the comedic sketch show until its initial run ended in 2000.

She most famously played Penny Lane, Brenda Stone, and Winter Wonder within that period.

"The characters were all written by the writers of the show, but in terms of the voices and how they were embodied, that was up to us," in 2014, Knowings informed Complex. "All those kinds of characters were developed on my own, like Brenda Stone."

"They just gave me the script and I went with it," she added. "I didn't mean for it to come out like Fran Drescher, it just kind of did."

Three years after the show was revived with a completely new cast, Knowings made a comeback to the All That stage in 2005 for its tenth anniversary spectacular.

"Being on All That was definitely an incredible experience," in 2019, she informed Occhi Magazine. "I love that I am part of something so iconic that brought so many people a great deal of joy. Fans often express how much my presence on the show meant to them. That’s a massive reward, to hear that."

Knowings was a gifted folk musician in addition to her acting profession. In 2020, "To the World" became her debut single.

"Vocalists carry energy that affects people universally," in her interview with Occhi, she revealed. "It’s vibrating in nature, and we are all affected by vibration, energy. It’s my responsibility to emit a vibration that supports my values and what I stand for."
