What happens to Jumia if Amazon decides to join the fray in sub-Saharan Africa, by running an ecommerce operation in some markets like Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and a few others? It may be really tough for Jumia to overcome. Yet, Amazon may just decide to buy Jumia.

"Yet, Amazon may just decide to buy Jumia"-If Jumia keeps burning cash at this rate which will certainly not get slower, then I expect it to happen before 2023 Q2.

I actually expected Alibaba to buy the company but I just realized that Ma's ideology is to be asset-light unlike Jeff who is more of an eco-system builder so I expect him to move in that direction.
