Amy Schumer is divorcing her husband, Chris Fischer, after seven years together.
Chris Fischer and Amy Schumer are proceeding with their split. According to New York County court records examined by news organizations, the Trainwreck actress filed for legal separation from her seven-year husband on January 6.
Amy and her ex have a 6-year-old boy named Gene. Amy's attorney filed for an "uncontested joint divorce," which means there are no disputes between the two parties over how to divide assets, money, or child custody.
Less than a month has passed since Amy, 44, announced that she and Chris, 45, have "made the difficult decision" to divorce.

"We love each other very much," on December 12, she posted a statement on Instagram. "And will continue to focus on raising our son."
The comedian also put an end to rumors about what went awry.
"Not because I dropped some lbs," she made fun of her recent weight loss, "and not because he’s a hot James Beard award winning chef who can still pull some hot tail."
Amy continued, "Amicable and all love and respect! Family forever."
The Inside Amy Schumer alum has been depending on her family ever since.
"When things are at their absolute worst is when my family is the funniest," she posted a video on Instagram on December 21. “Just when we hit rock bottom is when we can laugh the hardest.”
In a different Instagram Story, Amy discussed her network of support once more, quoting author Hannah Rosenberg and writing, "My life is filled with the souls of women I love."
"Who show up on my doorstep to celebrate and grieve, who stand up for me when I put myself down," the post stated. "If you have these women, remember: the soulmate is a wonderful thought but look how beautiful these love stories are. Look how they make you full.”
Most recently, Amy posted a photo of Gene playing with toys while she passed out on a bed, offering a rare glimpse into her life at home with her kid.
"Winter, break you win okay!?!" in the Instagram caption, she made a joke. "You’ve shattered us all. Open the schools!!!!"
