Bag of Rice

We have a tradition in my Nigerian business: we buy bags of rice and other "supporting pieces" for our team every end of year. The numbers I am getting may suggest that President Buhari's APC government may need to do more for Nigerians.
My accountant noted that a bag of rice (50kg) goes for N19k now, That is extremely high. Three years ago, it was around N8K.
I am not here to attack any government. But if a bag of rice goes for N19k and minimum wage is N17k per month, who can blame workers for leaving their offices to look for "supporting jobs". This makes the call for increasing the minimum wage more urgent.
APC Government should take a wholistic view of Nigeria to understand the cause-effects of many things in the nation. We cannot avoid the minimum wage increase if food is this expensive.
