Benson Boone Reveals Health Struggle Before Postponing Sacramento Concert.

Midway thru his Wanted Man Tour, Benson Boone had to slow down. Before his August 8 concert in Sacramento, California, the 24-year-old disclosed that he was having vocal difficulties, which ultimately led to the postponement of his show.

“Sacramento—I’m so so sorry but I am not going to be able to perform tonight,” on August 8, Boone posted on Instagram Stories. “I’ve been fighting like hell all afternoon to try and make my voice presentable for the show tonight and it’s not in a place to do so.”

“I know this is extremely disappointing especially for everyone who traveled to be here,” he continued. “Trust me I am disappointed too. I hate letting you guys down more than anything.”

However, local fans may be confident that they will soon witness the singer of "Slow It Down" performing backflips.

“We’re figuring out the next steps now, and I’ll get you an update as soon as I have one, but this show will be rescheduled as soon as possible,” he penned. “I will see you soon. Thank you for sticking with me. Seriously. I love you guys so much.”

Boone's scheduled performance location, Golden1 Center, also responded to the cancelation on social media, stating that "health reasons" were the cause of the delay and promising to "announce updates as soon as they are available" about the new date.

Boone's summer 2026 tour will begin on July 7 and end on September 3. The singer of "Beautiful Things" has been savoring every second of her tour life since it started.

On July 20, he posted on Instagram with an orange heart emoji, "Wanted Man tour I cannot get enough of you.”

Boone told Notion in 2022 that performing was one of his favorite aspects of creating music, even before he embarked on his first extensive headline tour in 2023. “I think one of the best feelings ever is when people sing back lyrics.”

“It’s the best feeling, performing is magical,” he continued. “There’s nothing that compares that I’ve ever experienced. Nothing compares to the feeling of being cheered on by thousands of people, or even 300 people, I get the same thrill. No matter who it is, if they support you and love you, and show it, it’s automatically the coolest thing ever.”
