Bryan Kohberger, the suspected Idaho murderer, is reported to have "disfigured" Kaylee Goncalves' face.

Further details about the night of the murders in Idaho is coming to light. Unsealed reports about the tragedy provide new insight into how Bryan Kohberger carried out his horrific crimes after he was sentenced to four consecutive life sentences for the murders of college students Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.

One police officer, Corbin Smith, reportedly described Goncalves' face as "disfigured" after she was discovered dead in her off-campus apartment in Moscow, Idaho, in November 2022, according to papers published by numerous sources on July 24.

In particular, the student from the University of Idaho who was stabbed 34 times—was judged

In particular, the 34-stab wound University of Idaho student was considered "unrecognizable" because her face was "extremely damaged," according to a report ABC News was able to obtain.

According to the leaked records, Goncalves' injuries were also so serious that when officials first arrived at the site, her surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen misdiagnosed two female victims.

Additionally, details regarding Kohberger's other three victims were made public.

In accordance with autopsies acquired by NBC News on July 24, Kohberger, who was eventually connected to the case by male DNA left on a knife sheath discovered on a bed close to Mogen's body, caused more than 50 stab wounds to Kernodle's body.

Her blunt force injuries also indicated that "it was obvious an intense struggle had occurred," according to Sgt. Shaine Gunderson's police report, according to People.

Due to police papers obtained by the Idaho Statesman and People, Chapin, Kernodle's boyfriend, and Mogen, his roommate, both died from injuries caused by sharp objects. Chapin is thought to have been slain while sleeping when a knife wound cut the jugular vein in his neck.

Kohberger entered a guilty plea to the murders of all four college students prior to his sentencing, responding "yes" when asked in court if he acted "willingly, unlawfully, deliberately and with premeditation and malice with forethought." The 30-year-old did not, however, give a rationale for the murders, therefore it is still unknown.

Also, Kohberger may never provide an explanation, but in court after his punishment on July 23, Mortensen offered her own perspective on his offenses.

"He is a hollow vessel. Something less than human. A body without empathy or remorse," Mortensen stated in court. "He chose destruction, he chose evil. He feels nothing. He tried to take everything from me."
