Bunnie Xo continues to pursue her goals of expanding her family. The presenter of the Dumb Blonde podcast provided an update on whether she still intends to have children with her former spouse, Jelly Roll, one month after they finalized their split.
“So, I definitely still want to have a baby,” in an August 20 interview with Jenna & Sheinelle on Today, Bunnie affirmed “and that’s going to be one of my newest chapters of my next book, and I can’t wait for you guys to read about it because it’s been one hell of a journey, let me tell you.”
However, the 46-year-old did not say if having a child with Jelly Roll was still the goal.
When the "Amen" singer's May split was made public in June, fans were taken aback by Bunnie (actual name Alisa DeFord) and Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord).

Additionally, Bunnie revealed that she and Jelly Roll—who got married in August 2016—were not going to stop their quest to expand their family, which they began in 2024, when she revealed the split news on a since-deleted shocking episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast on June 18.
“We're still having a baby,” she disclosed at the time that utilizing a surrogate and IVF were part of their strategy. “We have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered. We're going to co-parent together."
Even though she and Jelly Roll, the father of Bailee Ann, 18, and Noah Buddy, 9, from other relationships, are no more together, they have maintained that it was for the best and are still friendly, even calling each other their "best friend."
And how is Bunnie doing right now? After her divorce, the author of Stripped Down revealed that she is "thriving." Even while she's "having the freaking time of my life" and "so much fun" being single, she acknowledged that there are far greater achievements to be proud of than her romantic life.
“I know when something like that that’s deeply personal happens, it’s beautifully tragic,” during her interview on Today, she informed Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager, “but at the same time there’s always a silver lining, there’s always something better to look forward.”
Like she stressed, “There’s so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives.”
