Everyone wants to create a stablecoin; it is getting interesting: "Fidelity Investments is set to introduce its own stablecoin — a type of cryptocurrency typically pegged to the U.S. dollar — as the asset manager accelerates competition with other financial institutions expanding their presence in blockchain technology. The move is part of Fidelity’s broader push into digital assets: Last week, it filed a request to launch a blockchain-based Treasury money market fund. Two bills aimed at expanding the role of stablecoins in global payments are currently advancing through Congress."
