Fresh from wedding celebrations, Isaiah dove headfirst into his American Idol audition. The pressure was on, but his excitement outweighed any nerves.

The American Idol contestant Isaiah Moore had the love of his life by his side as he auditioned to secure his spot on season 23. Indeed, the Alabama native had his wife Abby whom he had just married a week prior by his side as they ditched their honeymoon plans so he could audition for the ABC singing competition.

“We had a cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon,” Isaiah, 22, revealed ahead of his big moment in front of judges Lionel RichieCarrie Underwood and Luke Bryan during the March 16 episode. “But ultimately, my wife, she told me that there was no other option but to cancel it and come here to audition in Nashville.”

Bringing a little bit of celebration to the moment, host Ryan Seacrest presented the pair with mocktails after finding out Abby’s grand plan.

Isaiah didn’t just have the support of his wife as he auditioned for a spot in Hollywood. The young musician was joined by his grandparents who raised him and his brothers while his mother battled drug addiction. Making the moment even more heartfelt, Isaiah revealed that his mother who was three years sober also was there to support him.

The audition room buzzed with nervous energy. Isaiah took a deep breath and sang his heart out. However, his brother whom he shared was struggling with addiction wasn’t there to watch him perform, so he auditioned with Luke Combs’ “Where the Wild Things Are” in his honor.

“He’s been having a hard time the past year,” Isaiah told the judges before going into his acoustic performance. “I would say, and I worry about him. I love him. He was supposed to be here today. I know that he loves me, but I just don’t want him going down the same path that my mom went down, and so I’m singing this for him.”

Nashville's musical vibe played a huge role in fueling Isaiah’s dreams. It is a town where music history lives.

After bringing the judges to tears with his performance, Isaiah was surrounded by his family who all witnessed all three of them tell Isaiah yes, before exclaiming “you’re going to Hollywood.”

In January, Isaiah teased his audition to his followers. Posing with his guitar in front of the American Idol sign, Isaiah wrote on the Jan. 2 Instagram post, “Big things coming.”

Nashville's history is soaked in music. It is the heart of country music. The city generates billions in revenue each year. Hundreds of recording studios call Nashville home. Thousands of artists live and work there. It's a place where dreams can come true.

American Idol is just one chapter in Isaiah’s story. He has plans for his future. No matter the outcome, he's ready to make music.

Isaiah's musical style blends soul with country. He grew up singing in church. His influences range from Stevie Wonder to Garth Brooks. He has performed at local venues. His voice is unique. Music is his passion.

Isaiah plans to keep writing and performing. He wants to record his own music. He hopes to leverage his American Idol experience to reach a wider audience. Whether he wins or not, he’s not giving up.
