The cost of going to Ivy League school is at a new level now. Yes, one needs at least $80,000 per year to train that child, LinkedIn reports.

Borne by inflation, college tuitions are rising even faster. Yale University, at which the cost of tuition, room and board has jumped $10,000 every four years during the last decade to $70,000 in 2019, totaled more than $80,000 in 2022. The price is well above what the average American household earns. To be sure, the costs of running the schools also increased 5.2% last year, the most since the turn of the century. Yet, while half of students receive some form of financial aid, the galloping price is fueling discussions of what a four-year degree, especially from elite Ivy League schools, is worth.
