Jake Bongiovi, Millie Bobby Brown's husband, is accused of failing to assist her.

This peculiar double standard is being called out by Millie Bobby Brown. Less than a year after the Stranger Things actress and her spouse, Jake Bongiovi, welcomed a child, she took aim at the internet doubters who say he doesn't support her.
“I’m not gonna lie, when did women become incapable of holding their own bags, car seats and stuff?” Brown stated while speaking on the Not Gonna Lie podcast on June 10. “This stems from me holding all of my suitcases and bags and my kid and people are like, ‘Your husband doesn’t hold a single thing.’ Because I’m three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night.”

The viral clip, which appeared to show Millie Bobby Brown carrying most of their belongings while husband Jake Bongiovi walked beside her hands-free, has since been deleted after the actress called out the criticism and apparent double standard surrounding their relationship
“We’re all about empowering girls and, ‘You got it’ and ‘You don’t need a man,’” Brown proposed. “But then when I’m like, ‘Ok, I can carry my own things,’ people are like, ‘Where’s your husband?’”
The 22-year-old insisted, “I can do it on my own.”
Additionally, Brown attacked supporters who say Bongiovi isn't a suitable mate for her.
“Nobody knows my husband,” she went on to say. “My husband is the most polite, sweet, will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I’m capable.”
Brown, for her part, has also highlighted how much she has loved parenting.
“People say they love their children,” in an interview with UNICEF on June 1, Brown clarified. “I couldn’t—I don’t understand how that much happens in my heart. The feeling is so overwhelming. It’s just incomprehensible.”
Brown's mother, Kelly Brown, mother-in-law, Dorothea Hurley, and Bongiovi are among the many residents of her hamlet.
“It’s so great, I’m so honored to have support,” she added. “It’s just so nice to hear reassurance.”
