Maddie Watson, the daughter of Jamie Lynn Spears, is not concerned about her freshman blunders.
In the end, Jamie Lynn's 17-year-old daughter, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge, just began her senior year of high school and shared a glimpse of her momentous day.
Wearing her school uniform, Maddie proudly held her "first day of 12th grade" flag in her Instagram image on August 19. She posed with her friends and her two biggest supporters, their mother and her 6-year-old sister Ivey, after taking a few solo photos. In fact, the teenager posted a cute picture of herself and the Zoey 101 star during a party in the courtyard of her high school.
Ivey, who resembles her aunt Britney Spears, showed her older sibling some affection at home in the meanwhile. As Maddie aptly put it, it was the "last first day."
Maddie has already offered an inside look at her experience in high school. She even went so far as to flaunt her lilac gown and spend time with her date during her junior year prom in April. She also went all out for her homecoming in September, wearing a pink skirt and jacket ensemble that was reminiscent of Legally Blonde.
The teenager has momentarily considered some terrifying events from her past, such as the 2017 ATV crash at her family's Louisiana home, even though she is focusing on the future.
In her Aug. 12 YouTube video, she clarified, "I did have an accident." “I was in a coma, and I came back to life, and I’m very blessed.”
Jamie Lynn, who also shared her daughter's video on Instagram, said she is "so proud" of Maddie for enduring that difficult period now that she is recovered from the near-fatal tragedy.
“You can’t control everything that happens to you, but you can decide how you react to what happens to you,” the former member of Sweet Magnolias wrote. “I’m so proud of this kid, she never lets anything, or anyone sit her down, and sharing her journey through it all hopefully inspires others to never stop going hard for what they want out of life.”
