Jidenna Shares Favorite Rooftop Scene from KITA After Film’s Premiere.
Nigerian American rapper, singer and songwriter Jidenna Theodore Mobisson, professionally known as Jidenna, has shared one of his favorite scenes from KITA, days after the animated short film premiered on September 17, 2026.
Jidenna, who gained international recognition with his Grammy-nominated 2015 hit “Classic Man,” made his filmmaking debut with KITA, serving as the film’s director and writer.
The musician highlighted the film’s rooftop sequence in a recent Instagram post, describing it as a scene that embodies the themes running throughout the project.

“This is one of my favorite scenes from KITA as it embodies all the themes that run through the entire film,” Jidenna wrote.
He also used the post to acknowledge the creative teams behind the film, emphasizing the collaborative effort that went into producing KITA.
“In an era where film is moving from a crew-based medium to a solo craft, I’m happy to say that we kept this one a team sport,” he added, thanking the team for the “all nighters, coffee stains, and the faith.”
For KITA, Jidenna handled several key creative roles, including directing, writing, cinematography and visual design. Nana Kwabena and Zuzuchiama contributed additional writing, while Nana Kwabena, Harry Moore and Kieran Hoyle served as producers.
Inhaleiah served as lead animator, with animation contributions from Jidenna, Aminah Folli, Vern New and Book of Stew, among others.
The film also incorporates AI-assisted filmmaking tools, including Seedance for animation generation and Sync.so for dialogue synchronization. Wonder Studios describes KITA as Jidenna's filmmaking debut and the fifth film in Season 2 of it's Beyond the Loop anthology.
KITA premiered on September 17, 2026, and is available to watch on YouTube and Wonder TV.
