Kristin Cavallari wishes to exert some monetary burden on her children. In fact, the Very Cavallari actress revealed that she flies in first class while teaching her and her ex-boyfriend Jay Cutler's children, Camden Jack, 13, Jaxon, 12, and Saylor, 10, about the value of money.
“My kids don’t just get whatever they want,” Cavallari stated in the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast's July 7 episode. “And if they want something, they have to work for it.”
She takes advantage of any chance to teach her kids a financial lesson because she is "hyper-aware" that they are "growing up in a very fortunate situation."

“Something as small as they fly coach, I’m flying first class,” the 39-year-old added. “That was important to me when they became old enough that they could. It’s not [difficult to do] when they’re older. I’m like, ‘Bye guys, have fun back there.’”
She went on to say, “It’s good for them. And I think it’s the little things like that as a parent that make, ultimately, I think, a big difference in the long run.”
Additionally, the Laguna Beach star is pushing her children to pursue entrepreneurship since, in her words, “This is my money. This is not your money.”
“A good example is last summer, both of my boys created their own little businesses,” she revealed. “One of my boys was washing people’s windows. And the other one was washing people’s garbage cans. Because if they want something, they got to go work for it. And they got to make it happen.”
Ultimately, however, the founder of Uncommon James bases her philosophy on prioritizing her children. She has therefore made it a point to prioritize her children in both her personal and professional life.
“There are so many ways to come into being a business woman and a mother and there is no one size fits all,” she remarked, pointing out, “What works for me is very different from what will work for you.”
