May I join Nigeria and Nigerians to congratulate First Bank of Nigeria Plc for turning 125 years. FBN is always a reference point on the values of excellence, prudence and integrity in business systems.
When Alfred Lewis Jones started this bank in 1894, he essentially seeded the central bank of Nigeria because before Central Bank of Nigeria in many regions of Nigeria, there was First Bank. Yes, First Bank cleared cheques for other banks and served as the banks’ bank.
May the next 125 years be better for the bank, the investors, the workers and the Nigerian people!
